The word "bare" brings us back to the simplest and most basic form of ourselves. Barefoot, barefaced, bare soul. BEyoga encourages students to come as they are. This year, this week, this day, and most importantly in this moment. "Bare" means to uncover. At BEyoga, we strive to uncover our greatest selves in order to live our fullest lives. "The bare necessities of life will come to you."
Earth. BEyoga grew from the idea of practicing yoga outdoors in nontraditional spaces. The earth supports us. Physically, nutritionally, and resourcefully. Without the earth, humanity would not exist. Mahatma Gandhi said, “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed.” BEyoga reminds us how to live a humble, yogic lifestyle. BEyoga reminds us to acknowledge, support, and show gratitude for the blessings earth provides.
Finally, our initials. BEyoga encourages students to simply be. To show up and be exactly who they are in that moment. BEyoga seeks to provide students with tools to realign and create balance on the mat and in everyday life. BEyoga encourages students to truly live yoga on and off the mat.
